  • Intro
The course guides you through the natural and logical process of drawing jewelry. You'll start by learning how to sketch eight different faceted cuts, complete with handy tips to help you memorize the facet patterns and understand where to place each facet. Next, you'll explore the basics of light (highlights) and dark (shadows) and discover how to apply these principles to different surfaces such as faceted cuts, cabochons, pearls, and metals. Mastering this stage is crucial before starting to paint with gouache, as it equips you with the skills to add depth and dimension to your artwork. Then, you'll move on to painting various types of cabochon stones—opaque, transparent, and those with inclusions. This segment, placed between lessons on faceted cuts, light and shadows, and diamonds, helps you become confident and familiar with gouache paint. Following this, you'll delve into drawing different diamond shapes and progress to colored gemstones. In addition to the standard faceted stones, you'll learn to paint rose-cut, briolette, drop, and pavé set stones before exploring how to paint the three metal colors. Finally, in the last chapter, you'll learn the techniques for painting pearls. With this comprehensive course, we believe you'll acquire the essential fundamentals for drawing jewelry and develop your unique artistic style. Additionally one of the unique features of the upcoming course is the option to schedule a private one-on-one lesson with a instructor.
